Project Overview

The Guppy V2 RC Trainer Plane is a fixed-wing aircraft developed as part of AerospaceNU’s Fixed-Wing Group. The project focuses on designing a stable, durable, and beginner-friendly RC trainer aircraft while applying aerodynamic, structural, and manufacturability principles within a team-based engineering environment.

The aircraft is intended to balance performance, robustness, and ease of assembly, making it suitable for training and iterative testing.

My Role

As a member of the Fixed-Wing Group, I contributed to the mechanical and aerodynamic design of the aircraft, with a focus on CAD modeling, control surface development, and fabrication planning. I worked collaboratively with team members through weekly design discussions and reviews to refine component designs and address performance and structural considerations.
